<mark style="color:green;">**dCrops**</mark> is a crypto-collectible farming simulation game perfectly built on the <mark style="color:red;">**Hive blockchain**</mark> which puts you in the shoes of a farmer. We picked the Hive blockchain for a variety of reasons, including the fact that it is an ecosystem of play to earn games and other blockchain-based activities, as well as its free and fast nature. This choice has immensely aided us in making all blockchain interactions, financial or otherwise, considerably better for our community.

On <mark style="color:green;">**dCrops**</mark>, you have complete control over your farm, where you may grow a variety of crops. We firmly believe in asset ownership, which is why whatever in-game asset you purchase or earn is kept on the blockchain as an NFT.

The basic premise of the game is to plant seeds on vacant land, then wait for crops to mature before harvesting them.&#x20;

<mark style="color:green;">**dCrops**</mark> has now evolved into much more. We were able to grow and enhance the game by adding features like crafting, cooking, construction, and more.

<mark style="color:red;">**Hive Keychain**</mark> is a browser extension for use on computers, and a mobile-app for smartphones. It can hold your Hive Keys in encrypted form and '<mark style="background-color:yellow;">**SIGN'**</mark> transactions on the blockchain for you. That prevents you from having to copy/paste your Keys each time you login or need to confirm a transaction.&#x20;

The first time you run <mark style="color:red;">**Hive Keychain**</mark>, it will ask you for a <mark style="background-color:yellow;">**'NEW PASSWORD'**</mark> and then to <mark style="background-color:yellow;">**'CONFIRM'**</mark> it. This is a password of your own choosing, to lock and secure <mark style="color:red;">**Keychain**</mark> so only you can get into it.&#x20;

On the next screen, click <mark style="background-color:yellow;">**'USE KEYS/PWD'**</mark> to enter individual Keys, or your Master Password to add all your Keys at once. Then click <mark style="background-color:yellow;">**'SAVE**</mark>**'** and you're ready to use Keychain!

# Farming

:seedling: Farming on <mark style="color:green;">**dCrops**</mark> is no different than farming in real life. It has four seasons: <mark style="color:yellow;">**Summer,**</mark> <mark style="color:purple;">**Spring,**</mark> <mark style="color:blue;">**Winter**</mark>**,** and <mark style="color:orange;">**Autumn**</mark>, each lasting 15 days. Each season has it's own unique set of seeds to plant.&#x20;

## :farmer:How to Plant on dCrops

To plant a **Seed card** on a vacant **Land card** you must follow the following steps:

## :farmer:How to Harvest on dCrops

When you plant a seed you must wait until the time required by the type of seed you have planted ends before you can perform the **harvest** operation. You can easily view this from the timer.

When your crop is mature and ready to be harvested, it will display a <mark style="background-color:orange;">**vibrating stop-watch symbol in Orange**</mark> next to the image of the seed.

To **harvest** your crops:

## :farmer:How to Sell Harvest Crop Shares on dCrops

Once you have harvested you can view your newly harvested Crops within the [**Inventory**](/dcrops-gameplay/inventory) section along with other harvested crops.

To sell your harvest shares and get added to the **Leaderboard**, simply follow the steps indicated by the arrows in the following image.

For example if a player wants to sell a **2 star Broccoli** worth **70 Shares** to earn **CROP tokens** at the end of the season.

# Reward Chest Quest

### :round\_pushpin:What are Quests?

<mark style="color:blue;">**Quests**</mark> are a set of tasks that is generated every season for each player. Once set, quests will stay till the player resets that quest again in any upcoming season. Players can reset the quest even if they haven't completed or claimed their rewards yet.

After completing a season quest, players will receive a reward chest which they can find in the  <mark style="background-color:red;">**items page**</mark> <mark style="color:blue;">**(**</mark>[<mark style="color:blue;">**www.dcrops.com/items**</mark>](https://www.dcrops.com/items)<mark style="color:blue;">**)**</mark> on the sidebar.&#x20;

Players can find different items after claiming a reward Chest. The size of each reward chest comes with a base amount of 10 random reward items, but can be higher, depending on the amount of Crop Power a player hold.

:white\_check\_mark:<mark style="color:orange;">**Mystery Seeds:**</mark> When you plant a mystery seed, it randomly transforms into a seed from the current season. The chance for it to transform to a certain rarity is the same as the drop rate for that seed in the packs. This means it has a 75% chance to be a Common seed and 0.8% to be a Legendary seed.

:white\_check\_mark:<mark style="color:green;">**Speed-Gro:**</mark> Reduces the time required for a seed to mature by 10%-50% on a specific plot of land. This is applied across a land card for all its plots.

:white\_check\_mark:<mark style="color:red;">**Ferti-Plus:**</mark> Doubles the chance to get 3 Star(:star::star::star:*) and 2 Star(*:star::star:) crops upon harvest for the land that it was applied to. This is applied across a land card for all its plots.

:white\_check\_mark:<mark style="color:purple;">**Construction Materials:**</mark> Doubles the chance to get 3 Star(:star::star::star:*) and 2 Star(*:star::star:) crops upon harvest for the land that it was applied to. This is applied across a land card for all its plots.

:white\_check\_mark:<mark style="color:blue;">**Gas:**</mark> Used to power your cooking and crafting equipment.

:white\_check\_mark:<mark style="color:yellow;">**Salt:**</mark> Used for crafting recipes.

:white\_check\_mark:**Pepper:** Used for crafting recipes.

**You can re-roll a quest to find a more easier quests. If you choose to re-roll a quest already, all progress on that quest will be lost and a new random quest is assigned to you. This action will require you to spend 10 CROP tokens which you must have in your in-game wallet.**

The entirety of everything that can be sold.

Before the end of each season, players visit their inventory to <mark style="background-color:yellow;">**Sell All Shares**</mark> or Filter base on <mark style="background-color:red;">**Type**</mark>, <mark style="background-color:orange;">**Rarity**</mark>, <mark style="background-color:purple;">**Season**</mark> and <mark style="background-color:blue;">**Edition**</mark>. Once a player successfully sells harvest crop shares, their name is added to the **leaderboard**. This is a board that displays the names and places or ranks of the top players in the game who have sold shares.

At the end of each season, dCrops adds about <mark style="color:orange;">**415359.4 CROP TOKENS**</mark> \[this amount varies every season] to the **reward pool** for players to draw from based on the number of shares sold; as a result, the more shares a player sells, the bigger the reward amount, which is in **Crop Tokens**. # Crafting Items

Items will appear on this list only if the player has the necessary ingredients in their inventory. Crafting takes no time if you have everything required, Like Equipment and Gas, which is displayed on the player's craft station <mark style="color:orange;">**`Your Items`**</mark>.

# Cooking

This is all about a player's ability to master recipes. The more a player cooks a specific recipe, the more the players proficiency in that recipe will increase which will give certain bonuses.&#x20;

Also, In order to craft those items, a fee needs to be paid in **CROP tokens**. The fee depends on the rarity of the final item as listed in the table below:

[As already explained in this post](https://peakd.com/hive-140217/@dcrops/reward-nfts-ores-and-materials-update-is-live), 50% of the fee used to craft the NFT will be locked as the burn value of the resultant NFT. For example, this means that a Gold Ingot will be worth at least 500 CROP tokens. The locked CROP tokens will be obtainable if the NFT is burned. However, if the NFT is further used to craft a blueprint, these locked tokens will not be released back to the player.

## :round\_pushpin:How to use the workshop? <a href="#howtousetheworkshop" id="howtousetheworkshop"></a>

Using the workshop is pretty straightforward. There are items and equipment required for a player to complete a craft successfully. Everything that you require is stated under your <mark style="background-color:orange;">**ITEMS**</mark>.

Once the transaction goes through, you just need to **wait the required time**, and then you can **claim your items**.

The special abilities will apply accordingly to the equipment that is used to craft these items.

You may now construct blueprint NFTs with plots and resources from quest reward chests to create useful equipment.

There are a couple of steps that you will need to do in order to begin with construction.

Each blueprint needs a different amount of <mark style="color:purple;">**Plots**</mark> to build. Since land NFTs have varying number of plots, you will need to convert your lands into plots. The land NFT will then be converted into their corresponding number of plot NFTs.

Since **Average Farmland (the common land NFT) only has 1 plot, it is not required to be converted into a plot NFT**. One thing you will need to do is to remove anything that has been planted on it.&#x20;

On <mark style="color:green;">**dCrops**</mark>, every piece of equipment has a blueprint. To effectively construct that equipment, **you will need a blueprint**. Say for example a player wants to build a <mark style="background-color:red;">**Kiln:**</mark>

:point\_right:Furnace, Kiln and Saw Mill are the 3 blueprints which can be built directly using resource NFTs like wood, ores etc. All other equipment need processed resources which are processed by the 3 equipment mentioned above.

:point\_right:So if you want to build the rest of the equipment, you will first need to build the above 3 equipment. Or alternatively you could buy the processed resource from other players.

# Land

In the game of <mark style="color:green;">**dCrops**</mark> there are a total of **Five (5) Land** cards available and to play, you need to own some land cards. Each land NFT has 1-4 plots depending on the rarity. Only one seed can be planted in one plot at a time. Lands of higher rarity offer a higher chance to get bonus crops upon harvest.

There are **two (2) type of seed edition** and a total of **forty-four (44) seed cards** accessible in the game of <mark style="color:green;">**dCrops.**</mark> In order to play, you must own some seed cards. Seeds are planted on land and these seeds are marked by seasons, which is the same as in real life but only lasts 15 days.

Each time a seed is planted, it goes into cooldown and is not available to use for 15 days. Once you plant a seed during a season, you may plant that seed again when that season arrives again. You can only plant seeds in their respective seasons.

# Equipments

These equipment will be available in the form of blueprints. These blueprints will be combined with land and resources to build the product. The **Non-playable characters (NPC)** will start moving in your town if you have an unoccupied house. Once they move in, you will be able to interact with them to increase your relationship with them. If they like you enough, maybe they will even reward you.

The <mark style="background-color:orange;">**LEADERBOARD**</mark> is the seasonal systems that dCrops uses to reward active players during each season.

The reward that you can receive from participating in the Leaderboard is a certain amount of **CROP** tokens awarded based on a **Reward pool** and based on the **Shares points** earned and sold by each player during a season of play.

Each season, the reward pool changes. The Leaderboard for the current season (Spring season) has a reward pool of **415359.35** **CROP** tokens.

Active player - Seeyouinlumb**</mark> has topped the board by selling 45,433 shares, this player will be **rewarded** with <mark style="color:red;">**47,040.972 CROP TOKEN**</mark> **(approximately 183.76**<mark style="color:red;">**Hive**</mark>**&#x20;-&#x20;**<mark style="color:red;">**$**</mark>**45.92).&#x20;**<mark style="color:orange;">**Seeyouinlumb**</mark> can earned this and even more every 15-days at the end of the season.&#x20;

A sum of the player's $CROP token balance, unopened ALPHA and/or BETA pack balance, harvested 3:star::star::star: quality crops and the burn value of players NFTs are all put into consideration.
