# Farming
:seedling: Farming on **dCrops** is no different than farming in real life. It has four seasons: **Summer,** **Spring,** **Winter****,** and **Autumn**, each lasting 15 days. Each season has it's own unique set of seeds to plant.
**Seeds** come as Non-fungible Tokens (NFTs), which can be purchased or earned; once purchased or Earned, they become your personal asset. For every Seed, you will need a Land to plant on.

**Lands** also come as Non-fungible Tokens (NFTs). Some have special abilities that grant multiple harvest shares based on rarity. So you plant the seed(s) that's in season on the vacant land(s) available. Again, these Lands once purchased or earned, become your personal asset.

**Each NFT is of one of the four rarities-** **COMMON**, **RARE**, **EPIC**, **and** **LEGENDARY. Once all the packs have been opened, no more of that NFT will be issued.**

## :farmer:How to Plant on dCrops
To plant a **Seed card** on a vacant **Land card** you must follow the following steps:
* You have to go to the **PLAY** section as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**1**
* Then next click on the **FARM HOUSE** icon as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**2**
* Then click within the **VACANT LAND** card as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**3**
* A screen will open where you have to **select the seed**, click on the **PLANT** button that is below the seed card you want to plant as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**4**
* Next Click on the **PLANT SELECTED** button located in the bottom of the screen as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**5**
* Final step is to click on **CONFIRM** within the **Hive Key Chain** screen as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**6**
## :farmer:How to Harvest on dCrops
When you plant a seed you must wait until the time required by the type of seed you have planted ends before you can perform the **harvest** operation. You can easily view this from the timer.
When your crop is mature and ready to be harvested, it will display a **vibrating stop-watch symbol in Orange** next to the image of the seed.
To **harvest** your crops:
* You have to go to the **PLAY** section as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**1**
* Then next click on the **FARM HOUSE** icon as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**2**
* Click on the plot that contains the matured crop as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**3**
* Click on **HARVEST SELECTED** as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**4**
* Finally click on **CONFIRM** within the **Hive Key Chain** screen as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**5**
## :farmer:How to Sell Harvest Crop Shares on dCrops
Once you have harvested you can view your newly harvested Crops within the [**Inventory**](https://wiki.dcrops.com/dcrops-gameplay/inventory) section along with other harvested crops.
To sell your harvest shares and get added to the **Leaderboard**, simply follow the steps indicated by the arrows in the following image.
For example if a player wants to sell a **2 star Broccoli** worth **70 Shares** to earn **CROP tokens** at the end of the season.
* You have to go to the [**INVENTORY**](https://wiki.dcrops.com/dcrops-gameplay/inventory) section as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**1**
* Then next click on the **CROP** icon as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**2**
* Select the quantity of shares you wish to sell as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**3**
* Click on **SELL SELECTED** as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**4**
* Finally click on **CONFIRM** within the **Hive Key Chain** screen as indicated by arrow :arrow\_right:**5**
